Stream Fish Ecology & Conservation
Welcome to the Kanno Lab at Clemson University's Department of Forestry and Environmental Conservation. We study freshwater fish populations and assemblages at multiple spatial and temporal scales to provide scientific information that is useful for conservation and management of fisheries resources. The southeastern US harbors high diversity of aquatic species, but they are facing an increasing pressure from human activities and global change. Many freshwater fish also provide recreational fishing opportunities. We use a variety of tools to understand intricate relationships among fish, the environment and people.
